This series contains brief monographs dealing with unusual fungal species, that have seldom or never been described in the popular mycological literature or that are confined to particular environments or geographic regions.
Very often the authors deal with recently described taxa or with species for which a very limited bibliography exists. A detailed description of the macro- and microscopic characters is provided, along with colour photographs and/or plates; keys to the species are often supplied.
Every nine issues of the series the indexes and a cover to bind them are available. Dark green coloured binding in skivertex, 17 × 24 cm format.
The series currently (January 2023) includes 78 volumes.
